Women fought for their rights and fought for the disdain that they thought they deserved. In the variation A Raisin in the sun by Lorraine Hansberry, the character mum, expresses her feelings of pushing or extracting a youthful office for a cleaning woman. Her role explains that woman discharge be independent and can live for themselves. Through her behavior in this play she demonstrates that women can survive and guide a family. Mama is in charge of the family, which is unusual, since men argon traditionally the head of a family. Through Mamas light and dialect she expresses and portrays an image of pro-feminism. In this play she is illustrated as taking over for the head of the family and controls the lives of everyone in her house. Rules are followed to Mamas extent. Through Mamas desires, the play A Raisin in the Sun examines the expressions, the emotions and the feelings of what woman had to cope with during the 1950s and 1960s. Mamas dreams and her attitude designed a new path for woman to walk on. Through Mamas point this play reveals a positive attitude towards the womens movement and represents that woman can survive on their own.
